Director for The Children’s Friend Early Learning Center Children’s Friend, Inc. in Worcester, MA seeks a Director for The Children’s Friend Early Learning Center (ELC). The ELC is a small, but growing, program of early education and care located in downtown Worcester. It serves infants, toddlers, and preschool students. Center hours are 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The Director’s hours will generally be 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, but the successful candidate should expect some flexibility. Candidates must be Director qualified, preferably at the Director II level. The ELC is accredited by NAEYC, is at QRIS II, and is working on increasing its QRIS rating. Teachers not only emphasize early literacy, but STEM subjects such as math and science, especially in the preschool classroom. The successful candidate must be creative, enthusiastic, and committed to early childhood education, and must have strong leadership and supervisory skills. The teacher must have infant/toddler certification and first aid/CPR certification.
